Happy Father's Day

I still remember when my First day to school when i was 4 years old, both my Mom and my Dad bring me to my 1st class. Until i attend my high school, my Dad is the one who bring us to school on the 1st day. During my school time, i found out instead he drive from home, he sacrifice his time and business just to ride a bike for 40 minutes to my school - under the hot sun and dusty weather - just for my Stupid-drawing book that i left at home. (Return journey will be 1 hour and 20 minutes). I feel so bad and so so sorry for him. Since then, i always bring a small note book with me to carry around as "to do list" or "Manual self-Notification note book".

Sorry Dad for my nonsense and Thank you for your time-sacrifice and encouragement to make me an independent guy right now.

Happy Father's Day. Love You Always.

Below are some of the video to share with you all. LOVE your Dad.

Gary Barlow - Sing

It was announced in January that six time Ivor Novello recipient Gary Barlow and Andrew, Lord Lloyd-Webber would be working together to write the official Diamond Jubilee single. Barlow travelled himself to villages and countries from across the Caribbean, Africa, the Pacific Islands and Australasia - The Commonwealth looking for musicians, singers and contributors and begin writing the lyrics and producing the song. "This is probably the biggest challenge I've ever taken on musically. I'm so excited and thrilled to be a part of it." said Barlow. Lloyd Webber echoed these views and stated that "It is a huge honour to be involved in this historic occasion and I am looking forward very much to working with Gary."

The inspiration and lyrics came from his first visit to a village in Kenya, a place where Princess Elizabeth had been visiting during her holiday, when she was told that her father King George VI had died and that she had ascended to the throne at the same time. "She started her reign there and we started our record in that place" and it was fitting that the song would return to those origins. The final record features more than two-hundred singers and musicians, including the Military Wives with Gareth Malone and musicians from around the Commonwealth including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, a Kenyan Girls Choir, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, and even HRH Prince Harry playing tambourine when Gary met up with Harry in Jamaica.

Yesterday BBC.UK stated Gary Barlow has topped the UK single and album chart with his tracks inspired by the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, which is conveniently entitled 'Sing'. it clearly delivers a message that singing make a world without boundaries. What a wonderful man Gary Barlow. A person whom I greatly admire and respect.

Some words they can’t be spoken only sung
So hear a thousand voices shouting love

There’s a place, there’s a time

In this life when you sing what you are feeling
Find your feet, stand your ground
Don’t you see
Right now the world is listening to what we say

Sing it louder, sing it clearer

Knowing everyone will hear you
Make some noise, find your voice tonight
Sing it stronger, sing together
Make this moment last forever
Old and young
Shouting love tonight

To sing we’ve had a lifetime to wait

And see a thousand faces celebrate

You brought hope, you brought light

Conquered fear, know it wasn’t always easy
Stood your ground, kept your faith
Don’t you see
Right now the world is listening to what we say

Sing it louder, sing it clearer

Knowing everyone will hear you
Make some noise, find your voice tonight
Sing it stronger, sing together
Make this moment last forever
Old and young
Shouting love tonight

Some words they can’t be spoken only sung

To hear a thousand voices shouting love
And light and hope

Just sing

Just sing
Just sing
Just sing  (Come all and sing)
Sing it louder, sing it clearer

Knowing everyone will hear you
Make some noise, find your voice tonight
Sing it stronger, sing together
Make this moment last forever
Old and young
Shouting love tonight

Hear a thousand voices shouting love

The One With Lady Gaga in Indonesia

Well few months ago, ALL the Little Monster in Indonesia was so disappointed with the public announcement of cancellation for Lady Gaga Born This Way Concert in Indonesia this month, due to security reason (Well in fact, its because of some religious stuff that not allow her to perform, in which i feel that is quite nonsense and i call it BULLSH*T). Don't tell me "those people" never watch any porn before or even only make love with 1 girl. what a shame.

oh well, back to topic, Lady Gaga post on her Twitter regarding the cancellation,
"We had to cancel the concert in Indonesia. I'm so very sorry to the fans & just as devastated as you if not more. You are everything to me. I will try to put together something special for you. My love for Indonesia has only grown. and all its people."

During her Born This Way Concert in Singapore Indoor Stadium last week (Tuesday, May 29th, 2012)  she have a special Note for all those Indonesia Little Monster in front of thousands of Little Monster that attended her concert during her concert break. Holding I <3 INDO paper sign grabbed from a fans (Indonesian i supposed) and she said "You Were Born This Way Indonesia. Don't Give A F*ck."

However, for her fans that unfortunately were not able to make their scarifies to fly away to Singapore for her Concert, nevertheless, they make a tribute to GAGA, Flash Mob at FX. This is to proof how important a GAGA in their life. Full make over, fashion, and choreographer of the dance.

Kudos for those Little Monsters.

And this is what Lady Gaga Tweet on her Twitter, "This made me cry so hard. This happened in Indonesia yesterday. I love you so much. You are the best fans in the world."

Maroon 5 - Payphone

I heard this song (Well, not only today) everywhere in the radio, mtv, youtube, everywhere.

I'm at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone
Baby it's all wrong, where are the plans we made for two?

Yeah, I, I know it's hard to remember

The people we used to be
It's even harder to picture
That you're not here next to me
You say it's too late to make it
But is it too late to try?
And in our time that you wasted
All of our bridges burned down

I've wasted my nights

You turned out the lights
Now I'm paralyzed
Still stuck in that time when we called it love
But even the sun sets in paradise

I'm at a payphone trying to call home

All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone
Baby it's all wrong, where are the plans we made for two?

If happy ever after did exist

I would still be holding you like this
All those fairytales are full of sh*t
One more stupid love song I'll be sick

You turned your back on tomorrow

Cause you forgot yesterday
I gave you my love to borrow
But just gave it away
You can't expect me to be fine
I don't expect you to care
I know I've said it before
But all of our bridges burned down

I've wasted my nights

You turned out the lights
Now I'm paralyzed
Still stuck in that time when we called it love
But even the sun sets in paradise

I'm at a payphone trying to call home

All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone
Baby it's all wrong, where are the plans we made for two?

If happy ever after did exist

I would still be holding you like this
All those fairytales are full of sh*t
One more stupid love song I'll be sick

Now I'm at a payphone...

[Wiz Khalifa]

Man work that sh*t
I'll be out spending all this money while you sitting round
Wondering why it wasn't you who came up from nothing
Made it from the bottom
Now when you see me I'm stunning
And all of my cars start with the push up a button
Telling me the chances I blew up or whatever you call it
Switched the number to my phone
So you never could call it
Don't need my name on my show
You can tell it I'm ballin'
Swish, what a shame could have got picked
Had a really good game but you missed your last shot
So you talk about who you see at the top
Or what you could've saw
But sad to say it's over for
Phantom pulled up valet open doors
Wiz like go away, got what you was looking for
Now ask me who they want
So you can go and take that little piece of sh*t with you

I'm at a payphone trying to call home

All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone
Baby it's all wrong, where are the plans we made for two?

If happy ever after did exist

I would still be holding you like this
All those fairytales are full of sh*t
One more stupid love song I'll be sick

Now I'm at a payphone...

Well, here are the cover music video from the fans.

Inaugural Scoot

Singapore's new long-haul budget carrier Scoot has taken off for the first time, using a novel way of saving fuel -- by replacing its in-built TVs with iPads.

The airline set off on its maiden voyage to Sydney from the city-state late Monday as part of its parent Singapore Airlines (SIA) bid to tap Asia's growing demand for no-frills travel while battling surging fuel costs.

Business class passengers were handed iPads pre-loaded with movies, TV shows and games, while those in economy were given the option of paying S$22 to use the tablet computers. "One of the reasons for using iPads for in-flight entertainment is that they are lighter than the traditional inflight entertainment systems and hence saves on fuel," a spokesperson said.

However, The incoming flight from Singapore arrived after a one-hour delay due to a medical emergency, with passengers waiting at the check-in gates surrounded by bright yellow balloons and flags, and traditional Singaporean dancers and musicians.

The flight with a full load of about 400 paying passengers, guests and members of the media left Terminal 2 at Singapore Changi Airport 20 minutes later then scheduled. However, it turned back on the runway and returned to the boarding area at 12.20am.

After touching down in Sydney for the first time today the carrier, which is an offshoot of Singapore Airlines, Scoot was welcomed with a water cannon salute this morning and at the same time announced it would also fly to Tokyo and Taipei, which are scheduled to start from the third quarter. And currently offers flights from Singapore to Australia's Gold Coast, Sydney, Bangkok and China's Tianjin city.

Scoot will operate daily flights from Sydney to Singapore and five flights a week from the Gold Coast to Singapore from next week. Sydney Airport CEO Kerrie Mather said low-cost carriers had stimulated demand and the service would add 290,000 seats a year.

You can have a quick look at Scoot seats on board posted by several sources.

And here are some of the video posted from other sources as well. :)

Solve Your Skin Problem

Excess oil, dehydration, fatigue, sensitivity and stress have left your skin feeling irritated, and looking lacklustre and mucky. These could be the result of working late nights, being out in the sun too long or having a poor diet. Save your skin with these steps.

1. Prime Your Skin
After cleaning, using a toner to helps to re-balance your skin's pH level and assist in the penetration of other treatment products. Aesop B & Tea Balancing Toner ($47 for 100ml, #B1-50 Ngee Ann City, Telp: 6737-6332) is alcohol-free and contains Vitamin B5 and Green Tea, which contain antioxidants.

2.  Control Oily Skin
Get out of the sun. "Over several years, sun exposure may increase your skin's oil production, clogging your pores," says dermatologist Dr.Adnan Nasir. Furthermore, solar rays also cause your skin to become dehydrated. Use an oil-controlling moisturizer after washing your face. Try Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream ($48, #B3-54 Ion Orchard, Telp: 6509-8941), which helps your skin stay hydrated, while keeping oiliness at bay.

3. Tame Sensitive Skin
One of the culprits that cause skin inflammation, researchers found, is a diet high in carbohydrates. They believe increase insulin can cause this. "Processed foods could be another factor," says nutritionist Alan Aragon. Jojoba seed oil has anti-inflammatory properties that help to calm irritated skin. Try Skinc Men Active Moisturiser ($98 for 50ml, #B3-66 Ion Orchard, Telp: 6222-7428) for sensitive skin. It includes jojoba seed oil that comes in a light textured water-based gel.

4. Revive Tired Skin
Lack of sleep causes your skin to become dehydrated, giving it all a dull, sagging appearance. "Get more sleep. This can significantly flight the effects of stress, which can also cause under-eye circles," says dermatologist Dr.Dennis Gross. use a moisturizer with Vitamin C to revive your skin. "Applying vitamins directly to the skin is at least 20 times more potent than ingesting a pill," Dr.Gross adds. L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Multi-action 8 ($21.90, Watsons, www.watsons.com.sg) contains Vitamin C and Caffeine to help perk up tired skin.

5. Slow Down The Effects Of Aging
Natural aging causes a loss of elasticity and wrinkles in your skin. "Antioxidants - such as Vitamin A, C and E - and peptides help prevent fine lines, promote collagen growth and project your skin," Says Dr.Gross. "Also, moisturizers that contain hyaluronic acid brings water from the atmosphere into your skin, so it will look plumper and firmer." Menscience Anti-Aging Formula ($125, www.whathewants.com.sg) comprises hyalironic acid, peptides, and Vitamin E among its wrinkle-fighting ingredients.

Rice

The human body was never meant to consume rice! You see, our genes have hardly changed in more than 30,000 years. However, our food choices and lifestyle have changed dramatically. The caveman would hardly recognize our food or way of life.

Caveman food was never cooked as fire was not yet tamed. Thus, he ate only those foods that he can eat without treatment with or by fire. He ate fruits, vegetables, fish, eggs, nuts and meat. Yes, even meat. You can even eat meat raw if you were starving in the forest. You have the necessary enzymes to digest meat.

However, rice - like wheat and corn - cannot be eaten raw. It must be cooked. Even if you were starving in the desert, you cannot eat rice in the raw form. This is because we do not have the system of enzymes to break rice down. We were never meant to eat rice. To make matters worse, we not only eat rice, but also make it the bulk of our food.

In some parts of Asia, rice forms up to 85% of the plate. Even if we take rice, let's keep it to a minimum. Remember, it is only for our tongue... not our body. Actually, rice and other grains like wheat and corn are actually worse than sugar. There are many reasons:

Rice becomes sugar - lots of it!
This is a fact that no nutritionist can deny: rice is chemically no different form sugar. One bowl of cooked rice is the caloric equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar. This does not matter whether the rice is white, brown or herbal rice. Brown rice is richer in fibre, some B vitamins and minerals... but it is still the caloric equal of 10 teaspoons of sugar. To get the same 10 teaspoons of sugar, we need to consume lots of kangkong... 10 bowls of it.

Rice is digested to become sugar.
Rice can be digested only when it is thoroughly cooked. However, when thoroughly cooked, it becomes sugar and spikes circulating blood sugar within half an hour... almost as quickly as it would if we took a sugar candy. Rice is very low in the "rainbow of anti-oxidants" .This complete anti-oxidant rainbow is necessary for the effective and
safe utilization of sugar. Fruits come with a sugar called fructose. However, they are not empty calories as the fruit is packed with a whole host of other nutrients that help its proper assimilation and digestion.

Rice has no fibre.
The fiber of the kangkong fills us up long before our blood sugar spikes. This is because the fibre bulks and fills up our stomach. Since white rice has no fibre, we end up eating lots of "calorie dense" food before we get filled up. Brown rice has more fibre but still contains the same amount of sugar.

Rice is tasteless.
Sugar is sweet. There is only so much that we can eat at one sitting. How many teaspoons of sugar can we eat before we feel like throwing up? Could you imagine eating 10 teaspoons of sugar in one seating?

Rice is always the main part of the meal.
While sugar may fill our dessert or sweeten our coffee, it will never be the main part of any meal. We could eat maybe two to three teaspoons of sugar at one meal. However, we could easily eat the equal value of two to three bowls (20 - 30 teaspoons) of sugar in one meal. I am always amused when I see someone eat sometimes five bowls of rice (equals 50 teaspoons of sugar) and then ask for tea or coffee without sugar!

There is no real "built in" mechanism for us to prevent over-eating of rice. How much kangkong can we eat? How much fried chicken? How much steamed fish? Think about that! In one seating, we cannot take lots of chicken, fish or cucumber, but we can take lots of rice. Eating rice causes us to eat more salt.

As rice is tasteless, we tend to consume more salt... another villain when it comes to high blood pressure control. We tend to take more curry that has salt to help flavor the rice. We also tend to consume more ketchup and soy sauce which are also rich in salt.

Eating rice causes us to drink less water.
The more rice we eat, the less water we will drink as there is no mechanism to prevent the over-eating of rice. Rice, wheat and corn come hidden in our daily food. As rice is tasteless, it tends to end up in other foods that serve as rice substitutes. .. like rice flour, noodles and bread. We tend to eat the hidden forms which still get digested
into sugar. Rice, even when cooked, is difficult to digest.

Can't eat raw rice? Try eating rice half cooked. Contrary to popular belief, rice is very difficult to digest. It is "heavy stuff". If you have problems with digestion, try skipping rice for a few days. You will be amazed at how the problem will just go away.

Rice prevents the absorption of several vitamins and minerals. Rice when taken in bulk will reduce the absorption of vital nutrients like zinc, iron and the B vitamins.

Are you a rice addict?
Going rice less may not be easy, but we can still go rice less. Eating ess rice could be a lot easier than we think. Here are some strategies that we can pursue in our quest to eat less rice:

1. Eat less rice - Cut your rice by half. Barry Sears, author of the Zone Diet, advises "eating rice like spice". Instead, increase your fruits & vegetables intake.

2. Take more lean meats and fish.

3. You can even take more eggs and nuts. Have "rice less" meals. Take no
rice or wheat at say, breakfast. Go for eggs instead.

4. Go on "rice less" days - Go "western" once a week. Take no rice and breads for one day every week! That can't be too difficult. Appreciate the richness of your food. Go for taste, colors and smells. Make eating a culinary delight. Enjoy your food in the original flavors.

5. Avoid the salt shaker or ketchup. You will automatically eat less rice.

6. Eat your fruit dessert before your meals. The fibre-rich fruits will "bulk up" in your stomach. Thus, you will eat less rice and more fruits.

OUR WATER AFTER EACH MEAL

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It says it is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed.

It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine! Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer.

It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

FlyScoot - Cabin Crew P.2

I just did the Scoot Cabin Crew interview last week, still waiting for the good news from them. 2 days ago, they ask me to do the Self Personality Questionnaire through a website, in which it took 20-25 minutes to do so. there are more than 50 question there.

After i did that, today, which is just now, i got their call and a lady said "After a tight assessment and looking through your personality test, we would like to invite you for our cabin crew. would you like to come on Saturday for the contract briefing?" I was damn excited in my room and jumping like a kangaroo.

I have no idea right now, as i am so so so so happy with this and am so proud of myself. Miracle won't happen when you do not put an effort to do something. And this is my reward. Yeehaaaa........ Thank You GOD for hearing my prayer everyday. I Love YOU so much.

FlyScoot - Cabin Crew

After i left my previous company, I actually did take a break for sometimes while at the same time, I keep searching and applying a better job that i like. Early this week (May 21, 2012), I got an interview called by Scoot as a cabin crew. When I get the call, i feel shock as i have no idea when is the actual day I'm applying through their website but however, since i got the call, i make alot of research through websites, forum, blogs, or even my other cabin crew friends from other airlines.

It was quite a stressful task as it will be a definite few stages of interview assessment. While doing the browsing, i found out from one of the blog stated that there will be a public speaking test, English and Math test, group problem solving, and 1-on-1 interview with the management.

what i did - as same as other interview previously - is to write all possible question is a piece of paper, then answer it within a time frame. i searched for more than 30 questions in total, in which in found 50% personality and 50% common situation that might happen in the flight.

Well, i just did the interview yesterday at Suntec Convention Center, with more than 150 candidates divided into 3 assessment session, 8am, 9.30am, and 1.30pm on that same day. Since my interview was by appointment, i get so called priority assessment in the morning. with more than 70 candidates at that session, it makes me more nervous as some of the are very experience, some of the have been in service industry for more than 5 years, and some of them as new as me - no experience in airlines at all. However, though my previous job, at least i know what is customer service. :)

Okay, 1st stage is the common stage in all airline, appearance check. If they think you are not suitable or do not have the "face of cabin crew" they will cut you straight away. Nobody was sack at this stage. Good!

2nd stage is the group problem solving. i tried to interact and talk as much as possible during this session to give higher score for myself, as you don't know how they actually score individuals.

3rd stage, was presentation skills. I have no idea what topic that i will get as i don't even prepare for this. They ask us to take an envelope that contains a topic for each individual. i got "Recycling" topic on that session. What i can think of is my junior school's creativity. Recycle Bottle into Flower pot, unfitted pants become berms, my clay imaginative and so on. in this stage, almost 50% of the candidate was cut off. Huff... luckily i did it.

Next, is the paper test on 4th stage. English and Math test. it was a stressful test as this is not a normal English or Math test. people who have high IQ, will be able to do this easily. luckily am quite good in Math. that's helps me alot in this stage. And estimated 1 out of 3 candidates was cut off at this stage. Breath taking to the last round.

Before get into the final interview room, they need you to write an application form in case you are being shortlisted during this stage. Luckily i take initiative to write the application form faster and submit faster so i can get into 1-on-1 interview faster as well. They ask alot of common and personality questions. The research that i did was useless at all. They ask different from what i memorize. So, what i can do is fully based on my experiences.

The assessment took 4hours and 40 minutes in total, and they need around 2 weeks to inform the candidate whether we make the cut or not. Huff..... Keep praying for my GOD everyday. I need to pass this as this is the only interview that i get. :(

God Bless Me.

Kylie Minoque - Timebomb

Pop Diva is coming back with her brand new piece of Pop Perfection titled "Timebomb". The Single is part of a year of special events to celebrate K25 – Kylie’s 25th year in the music business.

With an infectious warbling bassline that seems to warn the listener that Kylie is about to take the game to another level, “Timebomb” has hit written all over it. Juxtaposing a hypnotic beat with a catchy chorus and anthemic hooks, “Timebomb” is a certified chart topper. The single is not only one of the strongest of Kylie’s impeccable career, but the mesmerizing electro pop track is one of the best singles to emerge this year.

Kylie has always released superior pop music, but with “Timebomb” Kylie has found new momentum and proves she isn’t slowing down any time soon. No telling where she will take us next, but I will gladly go along for the ride. Check out the official Christian Larson directed music video for “Timebomb” below. Miguel Marinero Fall 2012

A very Unique Head wear by Miguel Marinero Fall 2012 at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Madrid. But it was really the lavish furs that did the talking, as they came in all shapes, sizes, and even colors. Of course, the leather, silk, and high quality fabrics also made an impression.

Get Ripped Like An MMA Fighter - 3 Tips

Hey guys, in this video we're going to give you three tips to get a ripped body like an MMA fighter -- where you're not overly muscular, but you look natural, ripped, and athletic.

Tip #1 -- You don't have to train like a fighter to look like a fighter.

A lot of people watch MMA fights and think "man...those guys look awesome. But there's no way I can look like that -- those guys are professionals that train for eight hours a day!"

And it's true...the fighters you see in the UFC ARE typically devoting their life to training. But what a lot of people don't realize is that:

**You don't have to train like a fighter to LOOK like a fighter"

You can get that lean, ripped fighter LOOK by doing short 30 minute workouts 4-5 times per week, and by following the right diet. That's really good news for you if you want that lean, natural "fighter" look!

Of course, if you want to PERFORM like a fighter you will have to train like a fighter. Most of fighters training is for performance...to get better cardio, or to improve their fighting techniques. But you can get their LOOK with far less training. And while you probably won't be ready to fight GSP anytime soon...you'll still be much more athletic than most guys, even with these short 30 minute workouts.

Of course, the catch is that you can't do just ANY 30 minute workout and get fighter ripped. You have to be doing an INTENSE workout that both builds muscle and burns large amounts of calories.

That's why I recommend Afterburn Training for my clients who are trying to get that "fighter ripped" look. This video shows how Afterburn training works and how you can start using it in your workouts:

http://GetFighterRipped.com

Tip #2 -- Focus on the 3 "fighter lifts" in the gym

A lot of people don't know that almost all MMA fighters lift weights, but NOT the way normal people lift weights. They usually only lift weights 2-3 days a week, but they get MASSIVE results from their workouts.

MMA fighters follow a powerlifting routine focused on the "Big 3" powerlifting lifts. The lifts they focus on are:

⁃ Squats
⁃ Bench Press
⁃ Dead Lift

You will gain MUCH more muscle focusing on these lifts in your routine instead of doing lots of isolation exercises, and you'll get a natural looking body like a fighter.

BUT -- doing heavy power lifts regularly will get you injured if your form is not perfect. Make sure that you learn how to perform these lifts with great form from a coach you trust before doing them.

Tip 3: Use an Afterburn Training routine to get ripped like a fighter

Afterburn Training consists of heavy compound weightlifting combined with high intensity cardio. It's basically what MMA fighters do, minus the parts of their training that are only for their fighting techniques or athletic performance

The reason why we like Afterburn Training is that it allows you to burn calories for up to 48 hours after your workout is over. This keeps you lean and ripped with just short 30 minute workouts.

I posted a free video that shows you the scientific proof Afterburn Training gets you ripped faster, and exactly how you can start using it in your workout. Check it out at:

http://GetFighterRipped.com

Check out that video now, we'll see you there!

Sleepbox

Imagine yourself in an unfamiliar city or in an airport or in any other public place far away from home. Especially when you have 4 or 5 "awkward" transit hours or connecting flight timing, delays, or even cancellations. There is no opportunity for you to rest and relax, even if you are extremely tired. you can have a snack or drink virtually anywhere, but there is simply nowhere to sleep. Sleeping in public causes security, privacy and hygiene issues.

This type of Sleepbox is designed by Russian Architecture firm Arch Group for use in hostels, Airports, or even in offices. It provides a minimum of functions, and is equipped only with electrical outlets and lighting. Flexible ducts are connected to a general ventilation system. Case is made of laminated moisture-resistant MDF, which finishes a frame of wooden beams. Sleepbox for hostels has a bunk bed. The concept of the hostel is as follows: large interior without walls filled with sleepboxes instead of building separate facilities-rooms. This allows economizing on construction and finishing works and significantly reducing the time spent on construction. In addition it will allow very efficient use of available space and, if necessary, quickly change the plan. This solution also allows increasing the number of seats smoothly and without causing any inconvenience to guests.

The first Sleepbox is now available at the Aeroexpress terminal of Moscow's, Sheremetyevo International Airport, with more units planned for other cities/airports. Each unit is available in 30 minutes to several hour increments, with a discounted price with more hours purchased. Available features include:
  • Windows with changing transparency film for privacy
  • Multi-color LED mood lighting
  • Built-in touchscreen television
  • Wi-Fi
  • Alarm, intercom
  • Safe deposit box
  • Built-in payment station with magnetic keys

Wishing this kind of item is install at the airport or train stations in Singapore.

Bowden + Sheffield Minimalist iPad cases

Recently, Eric Rea and Levi Price launched a Kickstarter Campaign to launch their beautiful minimalist iPad cases: Bowden and Sheffield.

These cases have been designed to fully protect your iPad during everyday use while not sacrificing the design and feel of the iPad itself. The idea was to build a case sturdy enough to take a beating, but sleek enough for any setting. Our focus was to create a simple, clean look, while using as many natural materials as possible. We wanted this product to be crafted of the finest materials right here in our home state because it just makes sense to build things close to home.

Product and Materials
Both Bowden and Sheffield will fit Ipad 2 and The New iPad, in which originated from the same design, with different materials used. Most of the raw materials in both cases are produced within 50 miles of the studio. All of their outsourced processes are performed locally as well. Measure 10 7/8 x 8 1/2 inches and only 3/4 inch thick, and equipped with Magnetic Closure system, Bowden and Sheffield keep your iPad securely in place at all times.

CANCER

LATEST CANCER INFORMATION

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY …

[Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins ]

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to STARVE the cancer cells by not feeding it with foods it needs to multiple.

What cancer cells feed on:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Note: Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells will starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes t o nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.

To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines will become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.

Anger, unforgiving and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

Johor Bahru - Avengers, Shopping and Culinary

I actually cannot wait till tomorrow (May 1, 2012) for the Premiere of The Avengers in Singapore, as most of my friends keep asking and chasing to book and watch this ultimate movie. However, knowing that it will be definite packed of Kiasu Singaporean, in which they will definitely booked the ticket 2 to 3 days in advance, Me and my 3 other friends decided to go to Johor Bahru, Malaysia to watch that Movie.

I took bus from Bugis - Johor terminal, where located at Queen Street. With just SGD2.40, i can reach Johor directly. Riding the bus for around 45minutes. i reached the Johor Bahru Custom (named Sultan Iskandar Sultan Ismail CIQ) around 12PM and straight away we went to Cathay Cineplex @ City Square level 5 and bought the tickets for 2.45pm shows, in which the shopping center just location right beside the custom of Johor Bahru. Pretty packed with some booking and counter purchase for the movie on that day, but we manage to get 2 couple seats for only RM50 (RM12.5 each = SGD5). Well, i pronounce myself as kiasu than Singaporean now, because i watched in early than you all. Lolz.

Back to our journey, making our 2 hour-free-time more useful before the movie starts, with an empty stomach and starving mood, we went to eat the famous Kam Long Curry Fish Head outside City Square, where located only 2 blocks from the shopping center along Jalan Wong Ah Fook. But unfortunately, despite the hot weather on that day, we actually have to queue for about 20 minutes because it was full house (as always) before we can sit and wait for another 10 minutes for them to serve the curry fish head on our table. With just a medium size of that, 4 of us have fully filled our stomach. After that, i bought some Centrum Multivitamins because they have promotion going on and Australia Black Mores Omega-3 fish oil at the Pharmacy nearby because they are much cheaper than Singapore.

After the movie ended around 5.20PM, we continue our journey to Padini Concept Store, as they are having a mid year Sale up to 70% store-wide from April 25 to May 2, 2012. Ended up i bought 1 slipper from Padini Aunthentic and 1 shorts from P.D.I., and the girls bought few shoes from Vincci and some Vincci accessories. Continued our culinary journey to McDonald's, eating our most favorite Ayam goreng McD. Because sharing is caring, 4 of us ordered a total of 3 sets of Ayam Goreng McD to share (6piece in total) with small drinks and fries included.

Half full, we continued the culinary journey to Kim Gary Hong Kong restaurant located at B1 in the City Square Mall, right below McDonalds and Padini Concept Store. we ordered our most favorite Ying Yong drink, with Nissin noodle, Kim Chee Ramen, and Pork chop baked rice. Chit Chat and gossip-ing around until 10.30pm, we decided to go back to Singapore.

What a fun-shopping-movie-culinary day to spend with good friends around. Looking forward for another road trip to another place. :)

More Chocolate, Lower your weight

We all already know that dark chocolate may be beneficial for lowering blood pressure and blood sugar levels, but recent research has also put forward evidence to suggest that increasing your chocolate intake may also help with weight loss!

A recent study published in the March 26 issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine by associate professor Beatrice A. Golomb and colleagues showed that frequent chocolate consumption was associated with lower BMI (Body Mass Index), even after adjusting for calorie intake, saturated fat intake and mood.

The cross-sectional study asked 1017 participants how many times a week they consumed chocolate, and how much, then performed analyses with and without adjustment for age, sex, calorie intake, saturated fat intake, fruit & vegetable intake, and mood (using a scale for measuring depression).

The results showed, surprisingly, that increased frequency of chocolate consumption was associated with a lower BMI, while the amount of chocolate consumed was not. The results were consistent even after adjustments for age and sex, as well as for calories, saturated fats, and depression.

The study is intriguing on many levels. Firstly, you will expect people who take more chocolate to also consume more calories, saturated fats, and be more depressed (which is exactly what the authors found). Secondly, many chocolate products are also high in sugar, fat, and calories. These 2 factors alone should logically point to a result which shows that increased chocolate intake is increased with higher, rather than lower BMI.

Thirdly, the association between chocolate and BMI was found only with how frequently the participants consumed chocolate, but not how much they consumed.

Of course, there are limitations to this study - it was a cross-sectional one. More rigorous randomized controlled trials studying the metabolic benefits of chocolate in humans may be warranted. But while we await the results of the conclusive studies with bated breath, I will head to the supermarket later to pick up a box of dark chocolate. Remember its the frequency of consumption which is important, so eat a little everyday - do not go on a chocolate buffet! Also choose the dark chocolate varieties - these contain less sugar and fat, and a higher concentration of the good stuff!

Taiwan Day 3

Since i had a bad experience with Hotel's breakfast yesterday, i decided to wake up slightly late and pampered myself by having a great Brunch around XinMen area and i found a place that the food menu looks Nice and Yummy. So i just went to a restaurant named "Magic Curry" 魔法咖哩 located at level 3 in the building.

i ordered Spicy Chicken Curry set. it came with drink and 1 side dish. i choose fried potato croquette as the side dish. However, the concept they did similar to Coco Curry from Shanghai, its all about curry. And guess what..... FREE FLOW RICE and CURRY PASTE. wow... to make me really full, i top-up my rice and curry paste. lolz. i can't imagine if this happen in Singapore. People will just order 1 curry and free flow 10 rice and 10 curry to share. lolz. KIASU mood ON.

After a good and full Curry Lunch, i went to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall 中正纪念堂 located just 2 station away from XiMen Station (NTD25 MRT ride). They have a specific MRT from XiMen to C.K.S Memorial Hall (Light Green Line), so you do not have to squeeze yourself with people at Taipei Main Station. Okay, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall is one of the most famous monument, landmark, and tourist attraction. The octagonal roof rises 76 metres (249 ft) above the ground and is covered with blue glazed tiles.

To find out more information regarding Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, just click HERE.

After enough cam whore, i continue the journey to next destination, Sun Yat Tsen Memorial Hall. well, the place is just full with Chinese from China. Other than the hall and musical fountain, the place had nothing to see and to take picture. so i just take picture of Taipei 101, which is just located few block from that place.

And without wasting my time more, walking around 15 minutes from Cityhall MRT to Taipei 101 straight away through different shopping center just to buy the ticket to the top floor of 101 (NTD450). You can purchase the ticket at level 5 of the shopping mall, which you can see the Observatory Entrance sign above Burberry and Louis Vuitton Boutique. The ticket show a number for you to queue. it have a specific timing to enter the top building. But AGAIN, hundred of Chinese people already queue at the entrance. it took 1 hour and 30 minutes just to enter the lift area.

Taipei 101 used to be the World's Tallest Building from 2004 before Officially Burj Khalifa, Dubai took over in 2010. So, to reach Level 89 of the building you can take the world fastest elevator, in which just took us 36 sec from level 5 to 89 with a maximum speed of 1010m/min. Amazingly fast. When i reached the top tower, i heard the notice said that the outdoor is temporary closed due to bad weather. Damn it. That's the main point i came to Taipei 101. Aaaargh...... So sadly, i just use my time to walk around level 89 and 88 for the view, since they don't have limited time per passenger. i also manage to buy some Magnetic opener with Taipei 101 building shape, and a glass with aerial picture around Taipei 101. So, this is the view outside the building, the aerial view of Taipei Cityhall.

To end my day, i had my late dinner at 101 food court at basement before heading back to hotel with tired and sleepy face. The average food there is around NTD160-300. and they have a lot of Japanese food all around Taipei. so, my dinner also a japanese set Pork and Chicken with steam vege and fried egg. it taste yummy and it just cost me NTD160 = SGD7. it cost reasonable as you can see the size of the meal is almost full of the tray. :)
