Pangea Day

Today, i saw a world even in Metro TV called Pangea Day. What is Pangea Day? Pangea day was a worldwide success, appearing on millions of screens and shared at more than 1700 events and parties. On may 10, 2008, gather to watch films made by the world for the world, broadcast live around the globe.


Pangea Day was an international multimedia event conducted on May 10, 2008. Cairo, Kigali, London, Los Angeles, Mumbai and Rio de Janerio, were linked to produce a 4-hour program of films, music and speakers.According to the festival organizers, "Pangea Day plans to use the power of film to bring the world a little closer together."

Pangea Day originated in 2006 when documentary filmmaker Jehane Noujaim won the TED Prize. Jehane wished to use film to bring the world together. The Goals are:
• Bring together millions of people from all over the world in a unique shared experience.
• Use the power of film to create a better understanding of one another.
• Form a global community striving for a better future.

Nokia was Pangea Day's premier global partner. In addition to providing financial support, Nokia sent video enabled devices to film schools and programs in disadvantaged areas and conflict zones, and to UNHCR refugee camps. Some of the films made in these locations were included in the Pangea Day broadcast.

New Lens and Tripod

lol, finally, i got my lens 50mm f1.8 and tripod named keep. but actually, i din buy those things, but my bro gave it to me, as he will buy another new lens for his coming studies. thanks bro.

well, even though it is *bekas pake*, i just so happy to get this lens and the heavy tripod because i did saving for this stuffs since last feb, but my savings still not affort to buy them. well, i will save my savings back to my account. hmm, one thing i like this tripod is because the height. i think, it reach 1.75m in total. its enough to convin me to snap when i am standing.

well, just wait for my coming works, as my plan, i want to snap around my hometown, MEDAN. hohoho... who said medan is kuno ????

Yeah, i wrote this blog because i feel bored and i had nothing to do, here in LCCT airport, KL. alone with laptop and my mobile-music accompany me until boarding time. now is 7.38 and i need to wait another 30 minutes for boarding time. *i think i come here too early. lol...

Later, i will post the picture that i took just now. i will put the title as *the boredome of alone waiting for boarding in airport* ou yeah, not many people here but i saw some yankies will have same flight with me, go to medan. and some is indonesian and chinese mostly.

ou, about LCCT, i think they renovate it nicely, but i think too complicated. it looks so crowded, even though i din get lost here. haha...

graduate ????

finally, i just done my supplementary exam for investment. had a huge thought that i will pass this subject. hhahaha.. soon, i will graduate. haha....

well, because of too confidence, i straightly go to international student office to process my termination for student visa in malaysia. well, actually it takes 2 to 4 weeks to terminate, but, i just did it 1 day. haha... but my withdrawal for my school deposit can only be process after my visa is expired, which is on 4th august 08. lol....

counting down the days, i will go back to my hometown this saturday early in the morning. go back to medan to do some medical check up *because it is required to make student visa in china*, process china student visa, and buy air ticket. that's all...

i need to start pack my things now. i had a lot of stuff to think about. a lot. sorry for theja because i make his room full of my stuff. haha... my bad.

Zen Restaurant

today, me, natalia, alfred and widya, ate at Zen Japanese restaurant for their buffet lunch "EAT-ALL-YOU-CAN ZEN". well, this is also my 1st buffet in zen, since the 1st time natalia asked me to go there. hmm... we spent 63RM per person for that lunch. well, i think that worth it, compare to the price each item that i ate today.

well, this is the foods we ordered today. first, we drank a cup of green tea, which i know how to do it. lol... but the different is, they served with different glass from zen compare with the glass from zanmai, which is the green colour. and we ordered for edamame. i forgot to snap it because of too hungry, but just go to the restaurant and order edamame. i think, you will add more to the order list of edamame. kwkwk....

next, this is kani mayo. just a simple crab stick, mix with mayo. it looked simple, but it tasted yummy. you must get a try of it. i ordered 2 times for this kani mayo.

well, this one is chuka wakame, and chuka chinmi. i don't exactly know what was this stuff made from, but the green one, is kappa, and the other one is scallop-wings.

next, this is Unagi Kabayaki (eel). one thing i loved about zen is that the size of the food is big. this kaba, is much more bigger than unagi kaba in zanmai. but, i think it taste the same. lol... well, Unagi is my-the-most-favorite food in japanese restaurant. especially from zanmai and zen restaurant.

this is tamago (egg). because i saw before how the chef cook this tamago, so i know exactly the steps of how to cook this egg *but not how to prepare the egg*, but i don't think i can do it. lol... but, u can try it, i mean try to go to zen or zanmai to eat this nice tamago. haha...

next, this is chicken karage. just a fried chicken-meat serve with mayo and lemon-slice. nothing special about this, but we ordered it and ate it all, lol....

yeah, this is one of my favorite item here. SSC TMK. soft shell crab temaki, we called it. inside this, there are kappa, japanese rice, ebikko, mayo, vege, seaweed and soft shell crab for sure. i loved it and i loved it. it taste wow. haha.... again, just have a try.

well, this is the other SSC, but this one is SSC MK. soft shell crab makimono. i got shocked when i saw this item served on the table. the size is double from the size in zanmai. even though it just 4 pieces, but i fell damn full, *compare to SSC MK in zanmai, which is 6 small pieces* it's huge dude. lol....

okay next, this is Chuka Iidako. i think you can found this chuka everywhere now, and even this is sold at lok-lok *street steamboat* across KL. but, the different is the price. we ordered 6 set of Chuka Iidako at the same time. well, because i had alergic, i cannot eat this. it's mean that only natalia, alfred and widya ate this. hahaha....

as what natalia said, this is her most favorite item in this buffet, ebi tempura. 1 set of tempura was just served with 2 ebi and 1 tempura sauce. so, we ordered 3 sets at the same time, which is 6 pieces of ebi. well, i think most of all already know about ebi tempura. i don't think i need to explain it.

next, this is salmon sashimi. this salmon is damn fresh. looks so red. wow... i love it. but, widya ordered for 4 sets in the total. damn, she is sashimi lover, especially for salmon. haha... good job wid.

and for the dessert, we ordered double-scoop-macha ice served with redbean. well, i ordered 2 sets of this ice. haha... which is RM.6 per scoop sold in zanmai restaurant.

well, if compare the price of each items we ordered, i think worth it to eat the buffet. just go to sunway pyramid to enjoy all this food. well, if you don't think can eat this all, you can go to sushi zanmai restaurant to enjoy the ala carte menu there, with cheaper price.

French

this couple of weeks, i learn something new from my colleagues in zanmai restaurant. well, i can said that, this is my post about language, which i like to know or i interested in. lol...

1st, i spoke mandarin with my colleagues, louis, suk hui, reagan and garrick. well, it's nothing special but it helps me to improve my mandarin at the same time. well, about this language, i can said that, this is my 4th language in my live. 1st language is hokkian, 2nd is indonesia, 3rd is english, and 4th is mandarin. but the weird is that i just can speak but i cannot write or type it out. i know that is is weird but, let me introduce myself in mandarin. 我的名字是阿平. 我不允許寫出來我的全名, 應為...我不要. 哈哈哈哈....

2nd, i learned french language with them. wanna know what language do i learn from them? it is just "répéter s'il vous plaît", which mean, repeat please. haha... i just learn that one only. haha... but, before this, i just knew french in few words only. for example: hello = bonjour, welcome = accueil.

3rd, japan. i like the language from the way the speak. i sounds so unique. that's why i like it. somemore, this language we used in my restaurant, where i worked before. for example: thank you = arigato gojaimas (ありがとう), *my own name* alex = arekkusu (あれっくす　/　アレックス)

4th is korean. at first, i'm not really like this language. but, the text of this language so unique and makes me wanted to know about this language, even though i'm not really focus on it (but actually, i just know 1 word from this language). lol.... for example: hello = annyonghaseyo (여보세요).

and yeah, today, silvana a.k.a silai went to Australia to continue her degree there. well, she's on the plane now. will gonna miss u so much girl. and u know what, this is our last picture snapped by someone *i have no idea, who took this pic, but thanks for this pic*. this pic took at coco banana few minutes after "party is over". see, alfred is totally drunk behind there. haha...

yesterday, i watched a movie named "Duplex". a movie written by Larry Doyle, starring Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore. well, just read the plot HERE. lazy to type it. lol.... such a nice movie to watch it.

and today, is my last day work at sushi zanmai restaurant, sunway pyramid. well, i had a good day working together with my colleagues there. last week, the management changed the manager from CK to Azhang. both of them is nice. but well, i still prefer CK. lol....

i will gonna miss u all friends.

and yeah, few days ago, i just moved to Theja's room, and i stayed here for few days, until i go back to indonesia for good. well, i will start study tomorrow for my reseat test for investment next week. not confirm yet when is the exact date of the test, but i will prepare it as smart as i can. the last chance. i must make use of it.

Miss Universe 2008

here we are, the new Miss Universe 2008 is Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza. She is the fifth Miss Venezuela who crowned the title of Miss Universe. this 22-year-old green-eyed brunette, burst into tears when the American talk show host, Jerry Springer, announced that she had won.

well, compare to her competitor, Miss Colombia, TalianaVargas, i still prefer Dayana as the Miss Universe, she has the 'Miss' in her.

about the swimsuit, i think, she's great. sexy. the one i love and enjoyed about her during the swimsuit competition, as you can see in the photoshoot beside this. she looks fit with that suit.

well, it's now about my own country. i think, this year, the national costume was kinda over design. i think, it didn't show the beauty and the 'sexy-ness' of the person. i can said that, the design hide the sexy part of her. well, Miss Universe Indonesia is Putri Raemawasti. such a nice "bunga desa" name with her sexy body during her swimsuit competition.

i think, from 4 Miss Universe Indonesia, this is the best look-out for swimsuit competition. with her shiny-tanning-skin, it look so fit with the yellow-swimsuit. well, it is also the best evening gown from my country for the last 4 years in this competition, even though i like the first Miss Indonesia-black-evening gown, by Artika Sari Devi.

but why, Riyo Mori *last year Miss Universe*, wore a tuxedo pant suit for her last walk as Miss Universe, it was so refreshing to see that instead of yet another long flowing gown. but well, she still looks gorgeous with her outfit. love it. lol.... watch it HERE.

but ooops, again, Miss USA, Crystle Steward, make another sensation on the stage last night at NHA TRANG, Vietnam. it was happened last year by another Miss USA at Miss Universe 2007. what a shame for that country that Miss USA fell for the second time in 2 years! she fell down at the first step she walk for the evening gown.

i like the Miss USA's gown but i think, the management should change the designer for the gown for the next year. lol... wanna watch the video?

Crazy

i don't know why, but since the last time we club at coco banana, alfred became the most energetic dancer in the world. after work, he keeps dancing all the time, every single seconds. well, even though after complained his work about "taking care alone in hokaido", he began his dance again.

and even today, even though he was late for work, but at the end, he close his hokaido at 9pm. damn, that's early dude. haha...

and yeah, i will upload the video soon. lol....

well about me, yesterday i was overslept and that sure i came late for work. my reason was i went for a doctor for medical check up. lol... but well, even though i said so, my colleagues didn't believe me. haha...

today, it's kinda hard for me to face the truth. because of my not so good result. *it's like blood-tear on my keyboard*. i need to re-seat for another exam next 2 weeks. i hope, i can pass this investment and graduate from VU.

GOD, give me power and spirit for this investment. i need YOUR hand in my heart now. to make me feel confidence and face the truth. this is really hard for me. but i will and i must done this. MUST. for the next 2 weeks, i will put ALL my effort and my sweat on investment. totally, i need someone's help here. it is impossible for me to study for the same thing like what i did before.

this is my first time using mix languange *Indonesian and English* in this blog, because i need to write something, what my friends said when they "on high". but don't get confuse. haha...

okay, yesterday, i got shift for my work on 12 PM until 11 PM. what a weird day, that time, got many wrong order, wrong key in order, wrong billing, and so on. i don't know what happen yesterday but error-nerous is surrounding zanmai today.

but, i don't know why, our new manager a zhang, treat us a burger for every waiters, part timer, and trainees. haha... thanks a zhang. it saved my pocket money for my supper. lol...

well, nothing to do much, me, silvana, alfred, reagan, suk hui, louis, jc, and garrick went to coco banana to "have fun" together. ou yeah, because of i'm not drunk yesterday, i could know everything happened from the beginning "have fun go mad" at the end of the party. alfred and silvana got drunk and said something weird in their every single words. lol....

Alfred: "lepasin gw. gw gk mao di pegang. gw mao dance terus. yuuhuu... ayo dance. dance terus" (padahal itu uda di luar coco banana. aneh nya.)

Silvana: "gw lagi pdkt ama si v, jgn ganggu gw. ayuk, kita pdkt lagi ama v"

Alfred: "gw gk mabok. don't touch me, don't slap me" *as what he said in English* let's dance

well, in the middle of the party, at the dance floor, suk hui, silvana and the other people dance like woooooah.... dance nya ampe aje gileeeee bok. keren dah. mantep. terus, pake acara peluk2, grepek2 pulak itu cewe. wuih, lesbonk abies. wkwkwk....

ouuu again, in the end of the show, silai nangis bla bla blakan. "gw gk bs berhenti nangis. gw gk bs jalan. gendong gw. mana ttm gw, gw pengen ngomong ama dia. mana si v, gw mao ktmu v" (padahal v lagi di sblh alfred). haiz....

it's my off day

today is my off day from my work at zanmai. nothing to do. just had my lunch with emilia, silvana, and alfred.

actually, today we suppose to go for karaoke, but the unfriendly REDBOX staff forced me to changed my mood for kaaoke. she said, "sorry, our room for student price and happy hour is full already". WTF, i think all room there, is about the same, even though it is student price or normal price, or even mid night price. and why another people who standing behind me, can get the room, and not me? shit. somemore, that bitch was totally ignore me after i asked about the student price. you suppose to asked me, "would you like to take the normal price?", but you know what, that bitch totally ignored me and ate the jco dounut together with another bitch. i think the manager hire people for outta beauty only, not for the attitude. poor REDBOX. but i think the manager is PIMP.

well, nothing to do. just sit and had a chit chat and continued for a "window shopping" in pyramid and buy some jco dounut to eat.

then, went to 天天来 for dinner together with lawrence, desy, maria, and vivi.

Freakin' Customers

Yesterday, even though it was not all, but mostly the customers in sushi zanmai was sucked. changed table for more than 10 times, and lots of problem from the customers.

the one that i will always remember. there were 5 bitches, shout at Ebi section. and i go there to check what happens. they said, they wanna cancel ALL the orders and they just ordered for 10 minutes ago, the reason was because of they waited so long. Fuck man, it was just 10 minutes ago and i was the one who took their order. if y'all want the food serve faster, cook by yourself. somemore, they all "cia ce su kui". excuse me, i want tissue. excuse me, more ice please, excuse me, refill please. in my heart said, excuse me, can y'all shut up for 5 minutes. shit, i will always remember that 5 bitch faces. uda gendut, pake belagu lagi.

and then, another 6 persons sit at E10, wanna move to the other place because it was too cold there. okay, i accept that, but can you please wait for me to search the other empty place? even though zanmai is not as big as your house, but i need to check with counter for the availability of the table. and i found in smoking area a seat for 7 person. then i asked them, "would you like to move to smoking area?" and that fucking fat guy told me that "are you crazy, there is 1 child here. don't u see her? are you crazy?" DAMN, i just leave them there. fucked up. i try to help y'all move, but you scold at me. damn man.

some more, 3 japanese girls, keep changing their orders. shit man.

yesterday, JC was really really fucked up with customers. haha....

well, I'm food runner, i don't care about the customer's problem. and 1 more time, i don't even wanna know about the customer's problem anymore. shit......

just coming back from Flam bar together with CK, JC, silai, Ula ULi, Ezul, Kevin, and Kenneth, and yeah, it is july now. "no good la you CK, bully ula uli" haha...

yesterday was the most busiest day in my life ever. got morning shift in zanmai from 11am to 10pm, with the break from 2 to 5pm. going to gym for an hour during break hour. and having dinner at Shilin asian avenue pyramid, together with silai, tia, and silvana.

after went back from zanmai, straightly we all go to Barcelona, together with silai, ck, alfred, sianny, chandra, monica, poppy, ezul, jc, and others. 16 in total. damn damn damn happening there, but in the middle, the dj make a short show but, damn bored. somemore, 6 skinny guy dancing and do striptist there. fuckin freakin guy. zzzzzzzzz.......



and yeah, this is my 2nd times i sleep at club. what a weird things happened but, it happened. lol.... sleep about 1/2 hour. then it makes me awake until the end of the club. continued to had some meal at RSB until 5.35OAM. man......

and today, i woke up at 6pm. man, i even didn't saw the sun today. haha.... around 7.45 PM, me, silai, and alfred, had our "breakfast" at ming thien. continue to play games and had some shopping. i bought 1 pants from topman, because i had out of stock for pants, so, i just went there and bought 1 pant. somemore, i have 5 voucher from topman worth 10RM each plus 10% member card.

well, nothing special today. i just post it because its july. and i need to post something at least 1 every month. lol....
