Orphanage Visit
I just came back from an Orphanage visit in Batam, Indonesia. Me and my other 13 friends visit EL Saddai Abigial Orphanage, which located around 45 minutes drive away from batam city centre. This was my very first visit to el saddai abigail, where some of my friends have been visited them for the 2nd, 3rd, ans 4th times.
After we reached batam ferry terminal, we had our breakfast at Bakmi French Bakery at Ruko komplex Nagoya Hill before we head to Nagoya Hill Shopping centre to buy some necessities for the orphanage and some games for the children there.
After we reached the orphanage, who Mr.Tanggang is the father of the children, i assess the condition of their house. There are 30 children in the orphanage, 4 of them are Mr.Tanggang own daughters and sons, with only 3 bedroom, 1 main hall (for visitors to sit and gather with the children), 1 kitchen and some toilets at the back of the house.
I can say that the conditions of the house is very sad and need extra care and attention. Heard that this el saddai abigail orphanage do not have regular donation to support them, in which one of the reason why my friend choose to visit this orphanage instead.
we sat down and the kids introduced themselves with their name, age, school, grade, and their dreams. It touched me so hard when i'm listening to some of their big dreams. Some of them wish to become a model, TV host, teacher, nurse, soccer player, and some of them have a dream as high as a pilot. They shows us, no matter how small you are, no matter what is your status, it's not wrong to have a big dream, which i definitely support them fully. Wishing them to have a proper educations so they can continue to achieve and a step closer to their dreams.
After introduction, we had lunch together. As we already prepared some mix rice lunchbox for each of the kids and includes 14 of us, which contains sambal kentang (spicy fried potato), ayam goreng (fried chicken), stir fried vegetables, rice, crackers and a banana. This lunch may be just a simple lunch to some people, but to them this may be the most delicious food.
After lunch together, we sing together, play some games with the children, and give each of them some gifts and presents. I personally prepare a simple toblerone chocolate bar for each of them, some of us prepare pencil case with pencils and pens for each of them. On top of that, for this trip, we manage to collect Rp.11,000,000 (approx SGD$1120) for el saddai abigail orphanage. Thanks to all my friends and colleagues who helps. A small token of donation will make a huge different to them, those who need it the most.
I will definitely visit them again someday soon, and hope i can help them more, build them a better living, better education and better life.

27 Things You Should Do Before You Settle Down
Okay, i found this video from facebook and i find it quite interesting and quite related to my life. so i decided to repost it into my blog here.

5. Live Alone
i don't think this as consider Live alone. i've been renting a room by myself since 2009 when i came to Singapore for the first time. but there're some flatmates around. so, is it consider as live alone?
6. Accomplish a goal
i'm not sure this is consider as Goal Accomplished, but i'm Proudly said that i'm graduated from Victoria University Australia and that's the biggest accomplishment during my 3 years study in university. next? let's make a plan.

i've been staying in different country since 2005 until now. i've been staying in Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, and now in Singapore. next? i don't know yet. take it as surprise.
13. Learn to drive manual
i learn how to drive manual car since a very young age, but i give up on it as the engine always off whenever my car is stop. so i've decided to depend on Auto car even until now. so, hip hip hooray Auto.
14. Find a new show and watch it all in one weekend
yeah, i've done this to one of my favorite korean drama, Secret Garden 시크릿 가든 by Hyun Bin and Ha Ji-Won.

16. Built something with your hands
i've achieve this during my secondary school around 2000 or 2001. during the final project of so called Crafts Class, i created series of art using clay and was score 90 and above. and i made some for my other classmates, which they scored higher than my own score. But afterall, all was made my me. and i'm proud of myself.
17. Stay up till sunrise
as always. don't mention.
18. See your favorite artist live
concerts that i went to; Armin Van Buuren in Shanghai M2, The Killers, Zedd, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Hardwell, Rihanna. All thanks to Zoukout Singapore and Formula 1 Grad Prix Singapore. more to come.
19. Make a list of a book to read and read them all

24. Keep a journal
used to, but no more.
25. Have a long conversation with a stranger
i'm quite a socially awkward person even to some of my personal friends. maybe this challenge can build my confident up and be more socially friendly.
26. Do something crazy and spontaneous
not to the extend of walk pass a tattoo shop and make one. But i did this while i'm on duty to Narita, upon arrival to my hotel, i shower, change, and go out straight away for one day travel to Tokyo with only few thousand japanese yen and 1 credit card to depend on for the day.
27. Get to know yourself
Working hard for it now.

New Kuala Namu International Airport
Recently, I travel back to my hometown for a short 3 days holiday. Knowing the old Polonia Airport was already closed since july this year (2013), I will landed to the new Kuala Namu international Airport.
Compared to the Old Polonia, Kuala Namu Airport is way bigger and better. However, the airport looks undone since the construction was kinda rush and push the operation date earlier than the scheduled date, nothing much inside yet with only few shops and cafes open and some are coming soon; named it Starbucks, Swatch, Cotton On, Kipling, NewLook, indomaret, and many more.
Kuala Namu airport has the same departure hall for Domestic and International flights. There are total of 8 check-in Row (with the total of 80 check-in counter), and is the first airport that have open public access to check-in counter. currently all airport in Indonesia have restricted zone for only flying passenger who are allow to enter departure hall.
Kuala Namu International Airport also the first airport in Indonesia that facilitate Airport Railway Service direct from and to City, with the price of Rp.60,000 per trip (SGD 7.50). The price was reviced from Rp.80,000 since Aug 17, 2013. Plenty of other Public transport provided as well. Taxis and Bus. However, fyi, Bus service only stop at certain location in Medan. For your convenience, i suggest to take Taxi (Blue Bird) to reach your desire destination.
Overall to my view, Kuala Namu Airport is the combination of KLIA, Survanabhumi Bangkok, and Incheon Airport. Hope this airport will improve and be the World Class Airport soon.

Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia

The One With Lady Gaga in Indonesia
Well few months ago, ALL the Little Monster in Indonesia was so disappointed with the public announcement of cancellation for Lady Gaga Born This Way Concert in Indonesia this month, due to security reason (Well in fact, its because of some religious stuff that not allow her to perform, in which i feel that is quite nonsense and i call it BULLSH*T). Don't tell me "those people" never watch any porn before or even only make love with 1 girl. what a shame.
oh well, back to topic, Lady Gaga post on her Twitter regarding the cancellation,
"We had to cancel the concert in Indonesia. I'm so very sorry to the fans & just as devastated as you if not more. You are everything to me. I will try to put together something special for you. My love for Indonesia has only grown.#GagaSendsLoveToJakarta and all its people."
During her Born This Way Concert in Singapore Indoor Stadium last week (Tuesday, May 29th, 2012) she have a special Note for all those Indonesia Little Monster in front of thousands of Little Monster that attended her concert during her concert break. Holding I <3 INDO paper sign grabbed from a fans (Indonesian i supposed) and she said "You Were Born This Way Indonesia. Don't Give A F*ck."
However, for her fans that unfortunately were not able to make their scarifies to fly away to Singapore for her Concert, nevertheless, they make a tribute to GAGA, Flash Mob at FX. This is to proof how important a GAGA in their life. Full make over, fashion, and choreographer of the dance.
Kudos for those Little Monsters.
And this is what Lady Gaga Tweet on her Twitter, "This made me cry so hard. This happened in Indonesia yesterday. I love you so much. You are the best fans in the world."

Jangan Menyerah
This song is inspired by true story of a friend (not me definitely). This song make me feel grateful of what we have, because life is gift from God. Always Live life even though have alot of obstacles and barriers. Do your best, and Don't give up and do not know despair.
Tak ada manusia
Yang terlahir sempurna
Jangan kau sesali
Segala yang telah terjadi
Kita pasti pernah
Dapatkan cobaan yang berat
Seakan hidup ini
Tak ada artinya lagi
Syukuri apa yang ada
Hidup adalah anugerah
Tetap jalani hidup ini
Melakukan yang terbaik
Tak ada manusia
Yang terlahir sempurna
Jangan kau sesali
Segala yang telah terjadi
Tuhan pasti kan menunjukkan
Kebesaran dan kuasanya
Bagi hambanya yang sabar
Dan tak kenal putus asa
Jangan menyerah
Dan tak kenal putus asa
