Daily quote:
September 26, 2008. (2008, 9月, 26日)
You should be careful in business deals, right now -- the people you'll be dealing with are much more cynical than you are, and could create an atmosphere of negative thinking and mistrust. Their minds are much more focused on the petty details and less on the goal that you are trying to achieve -- in short, they are going to be more concerned with themselves than with you. This is not the level of treatment you deserve, so let them know that they are not the only fish in the sea.

China out Of Space
For the launch of the Long March IIF rocket to go ahead there must be no rain forecast, wind velocity of less than eight meters per second, and ground visibility of more than 20 kilometers.
In a first for China, one of the three astronauts on board will perform a one-hour spacewalk at an altitude of 341 kilometers from the Earth.
China plans to build its own orbital space station and create a space laboratory before 2020.
President Hu stood before the three white-suited astronauts before they headed towards the Long March rocket that will take them aloft, telling them the space walk would be a milestone.
"This will be a major step forward for our country's aerospace technology," Hu told them at the Jiuquan launchsite in barren northwest Gansu province, state television showed.
"You can certainly fulfil this glorious and sacred task. The motherland and its people await your triumphant return."
Officials and state media have been hailing the prospective space feats as national triumphs, crowning the successes of the Beijing Olympics and dramatising the country's broader ambitions.
"This will be a very outward show of Chinese power," said Kevin Pollpeter, an expert on China's space programme at the Defence Group Inc in Washington, D.C. "The eventual goal is to build a space station. For them, that's become one of the trappings of being a great power."
The ability to do what is also called "extra-vehicular activity" is essential for China's long-term goals of assembling an orbiting station in the next decade and possibly making a visit to the moon.
The Shenzhou VII spectacle may also help draw public attention away from the milk powder scandal that has made thousands of infants ill and once again blighted the "made in China" brand.
China's official media have lovingly described countless details of the space mission.
The astronauts will have a choice of nearly 80 foods, including spicy "kung-pao" chicken cooked with a "new method," the mission's chief nutritionist, Chen Bin, told Xinhua.
They will also take traditional Chinese medicine made of more than 10 herbs to treat space motion sickness, Xinhua reported.
RISKS
But engineers overseeing the flight warned it carried risks.
Zhang Jianqi, one of the chief engineers, told Xinhua that keeping three men aloft and sending one outside the capsule over 340 km (210 miles) above the Earth would be a "big test" for the country's aerospace skills.
"This is a big technological leap," he said. "The risks are quite high. Sending up three astronauts is a jump in both quantity and quality."
The chief astronaut, Zhai Zhigang, is an airforce pilot who grew up in dirt-poor hardship with five siblings in the country's far northeast. His mother sold fried melon seeds as snacks to help pay his way through school, local media reports said.
With a name meaning "sacred vessel," the Shenzhou programme is secretively run through military and government agencies and its budget is unclear. In 2003, officials said it had cost 18 billion yuan (1.4 billion pounds) up to then.
China has arrayed five satellite tracking ships to follow the craft's journey of three days or so, and helicopters and vehicles are ready to meet it on returning to Earth in Inner Mongolia.

13,000 kids sick after milk scare
From correspondents in Beijing
September 22, 2008 04:25am
CHINA said nearly 13,000 children were in hospital overnight after drinking toxic milk powder in a dramatic escalation of Beijing's latest safety scandal.
As the World Health Organisation questioned Beijing's handling of the crisis, premier Wen Jiabao appeared on state television promising to head off further incidents.
But a Hong Kong toddler also became the first child affected outside the mainland and more countries moved to bar Chinese milk products.
The health ministry said 12,892 infants were in hospital with 104 babies in serious condition, according to the official Xinhua news agency.
About 1579 babies had been "cured" and discharged, the ministry said, adding that hospitals nationwide had seen almost 40,000. At least four children have died from drinking poisonous baby formula.
The scandal stems from the practice of adding industrial chemical melamine, normally used to make plastics, to watered-down milk to boost apparent protein levels.
Melamine, which causes urinary problems including kidney stones, was first discovered in baby formula and then in liquid milk, yoghurt and ice-cream, leading to mass recalls.
The problem first came to light last week in state-controlled media but New Zealand dairy Fonterra, which has a joint venture with China's Sanlu, has said it knew for weeks and had been pushing for a recall.
Some Chinese press reports have said the scam had been going on for years, with the country's chaotic and corrupt food safety system unable to detect or prevent it.
Shigeru Omi, Western Pacific director of the UN's WHO, today raised concerns the matter was not reported earlier.
"Evidently there is also a problem with internal communication," Mr Omi said in Manila.
"It seems people already knew of this problem for some time and did not share this information."
With Brunei, Bangladesh and Burundi becoming the latest countries to bar Chinese milk products, Mr Wen pledged to put an end to the long line of safety scares.
"What we want to do now is prevent this happening again, not just with milk products, but with all foods," he said.
"We want to prevent similar incidents occurring so that the common people can eat in peace."
China has endured a litany of scandals in recent years over dangerous products including food, drugs and toys, many of which were exported, dealing a blow to its manufacturing reputation.
Last year, melamine was found in exports of Chinese pet food which killed cats and dogs in the United States.
Meanwhile Hong Kong's government said a three-year-old girl developed a kidney stone after drinking Chinese milk powder but she has left hospital and is in good condition.
Burundi became the third African country to bar Chinese milk products after Gabon and Tanzania, while Brunei joined neighbouring Malaysia, Singapore and Bangladesh in freezing imports.
A Japanese company is recalling thousands of buns made with Chinese milk, fearing contamination. Eighteen people have been arrested in China over the scandal, state media have said.
today's quote:
September 22, 2008:
There have been more and more misunderstandings going on in your social circle lately, and this needs to come to a halt -- it is causing too much stress and useless discourse. Next time confusion erupts, you need to get the interested parties in the same room together. Trying to solve this issue over email is only going to make the problem worse. You can't move on to more good times unless you put an end to arguments and tension. Honesty is the fastest, smartest route to take, too.
Motivated and at the same time full of charm, you'll be convinced that nothing can resist you; but you'll have to cope with competitors as capable as you are. Your family concerns may affect your professional activities; try to control and organize yourself. Your recent small successes in your career will tend to make you heady; beware of a possible backlash. Make a short travel: you'll then have great chances to meet the amorous mate of your dreams. You'll be at your top physical and mental form.

New Home
well, today i just got my connection by setting up all the things by myself. *clap clap clap* well, even though it is connected, but today's connection is damn slow. my housemate said not as fast as before. well, hope tomorrow will be better.
i just read christina's blog and i quote some of the sentence there:
i believe we will always remember all the times that we spent together. Whether it was bad or good, whether it was full of joy, angry, happiness, or sadness. Thought our lives might change, whatever we might face, however, don't ever feel down as we know we are not alone. There are friends behind us that always support us. Though they are not besides you, indeed the memories that we spend together will make us strong.
today's quote:
September 17, 2008: beware of your unstable humor which may complicate your relationships. put your ideas into due order. family problem which you thought already solved will make a comeback; your hesitate between two alternatives; to dismiss this problem altogether, or try painstakingly to find an acceptable solution to them. top priority to love affairs; this astral climate will allow you to recover great complicity with your spouse or mate. you'll probably suffer from stomach heaviness or intestinal gas; eat dried prunes.
Are you getting bored? The best cure for an uninteresting life is to take a few risks! So today, try to put yourself in a situation where you could be rejected -- or at least come out with less than you put in. You shouldn't do anything too silly, like spend your life savings on lottery tickets, but you should do something a little risque. Maybe it is time to ask that certain someone out, try out a trendy new fashion look, or try your hand at a complicated gourmet dinner.

daily horoscope
September 13, 2008: Your natural charm and magnetism will be quite operative and will give you opportunities to make very pleasant encounters. Relations with foreign countries will prove complicated, consisting of disputes, endless discussions, ruptures of negotiations or contracts; one could only recommend you to show much diplomacy and patience. As it happens rather often, you’ll have the impression that happiness is only something that can’t be grasped. Open your eyes: human happiness does exist, and it’s easy to be reached!
It's time for you to get a handle on where you spend your money, especially in terms of your social life. Going to see a great play, checking out a hot new band or dining out at an exclusive restaurant are fine things to do every now and again -- but going out too often is putting a strain on your wallet. And there are plenty of ways to have fun without paying someone for the privilege. Rent a movie and have some friends over to watch it. Order a pizza, and enjoy having fun for next to nothing.

Episode 1
i'm in 祖二(5) class, and I'm planning to get the higher level class 祖三(4) because i think i can learn easily in this class. well, after I'd tried the higher level class, which is in my friend's class, Jay's class, i feel that, wow, challenging and quite hard to catch up, with my limited mandarin. so i just decide to stay in my own class.
last 3 days, i went to gym for my 1st day at Physical fitness. the locker room is quite funny, no long bench to sit and the hanger is too short, so the shirt will not hang fully. well, the mirror is nice, a long mirror with hair dryer prepare for us. the thing is, China ppl *Chinese* will not wear anything from the locker to the shower room a.k.a. naked. haha.... shit man, what a beautiful view for silai and shinta. hahaha...
let's move on to yesterday, i met and knew some new friends from around the world, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Mexico, Czech republic, Denmark, Australia and USA. i can feel that, this group is fun even though i'm not in their class but, its fun. yesterday also, my Thailand's friends asked the classmate (祖三(4)) to go to Thailand restaurant called Golden Thai. i was forgotten where is the place but i remembered that just go straight from PanYu Lu.
well, today i've been to JiBuLu, together with Andy and Aldi. according to our plan, we just go there to have a walk, but because of the stupid-crazy-people follower-chinese there (we called "calo pengikut orang kemana saja", in Indonesia), i decided to went back to NanJing Lu, which is 1 station from bus number 66. continued to Super brand mall at LuJiaCui Pudong, which is right beside the Shanghai Pearl Tower. at night, had a gathering with all Indonesian people in Jiao Da to get a brief understanding about Shanghai, about the law, transport, food, travel, and so on.
well, i hope, tomorrow will be more special than before. oh ya, i got new apartment outside this hostel. and i will move out on this weekend, because i haven't do the termination process and also, my new housemate not allow me to move-in that fast. haiz... apa pulak la kaw di. wkwkw.... it's ok, yg penting lo bantu gw aja ntr pindahan. wkwkw...
Daily Quote:
September 11, 2008 - In your work, you'll have the impression of crawling, but in actuality you're making progress. Don't kill yourself in preparing your future, think of enjoying the benefits of the present. You'll lead an active and gratifying social life. You'll brutally feel the weight of your responsibilities and become conscious of the errors you committed in the past; don't persist in mulling over your concerns; try to amuse yourself by all means. Savor the small pleasant events of everyday life for it's they which constitute happiness.

Horoscope
In love, your critical mind will be neutralized and you'll try more to emphasize the qualities of your beloved one than to reproach him/her for his/her defaults. Beware of drafts. Luck may very well visit you if you let yourself be tempted by a moderate bet in some chance game; but don't count too much on it. Here's a peaceful day which will allow you to put your life into order. Agreeable family life, placed under the sign of warmth and tenderness.
and this is another horoscope about my chinese astrology
The malaises which you're suffering from at present are more psychic than physical, for your general state of health is not bad. It's your concerns and anguishes that are the cause. Look for the peace of soul, and then you'll be in a good shape like a flower early in the morning. These astral influences will accentuate the contradictions inherent in your personality. If you begin to entertain gloomy ideas, if you no longer have the desire to be active, if you take no further interest in your entourage, then you must react very swiftly, for these are the first signs of a nervous breakdown.

Hang Out
i took MRT from Xu Jia Hui Station line 1, which is at Grand Gateway. well, stop at NanJing Lu for about 7 station from Xu Jia Hui, it is a great place to hand out or refreshing. i would say that NanJing Lu is almost the same like Orchard Road Singapore. had a walked from Nan Jing Lu to people square, we went to Lu Jia Cui, which is exactly right in front of the Shanghai Bund, Shanghai Tower. and there, i found one of the tallest building in the world, Shanghai World Financial Centre, and Jin Mao Building.
we went to Supre BrandMall, and i found a slipper at ZARA. finally, after 5 days i do not wear slipper, and now i got it. ZARA white slipper that cost 139元, which is about 65RM, Rp 180.000. and i found a winter coat, and it cost 999元, but still considering, should i buy it, or not? haha.... walked away behind Super BrandMall, we go to Nan Bin Jiang 南滨江.
